Just a brief introduction of myself done using after effects.
My first ever motion graphic work.
Custom Shader
​
My first shader done in houdini. My car paint shader consists of multiple custom parameters such as diffuse, reflection, refraction, coat, flakes and displacement.
​
FX Simulation - Pyro
​
Explosion done using houdini pyro simulation. Contains white and black smoke. Texture using the default pyro shader in the shop network.
FX Simulation - Flip Fluids
​
Water splash done using houdini flip fluid simulation.
Done with modeling multiple proxys to control the splash direction. White water generated from change in velocity.
Procedural Modeling
​
Rendering ( Mental Ray )
​
A caustics effect on the underwater surface. Achieve by having a light source emitting photons with the combination of global illumination from maya mental ray.
A scene done using houdini procedural modeling method.
Rather than editing the model via user input, I use expression
and nodes. Some can be made to 3D assets for future use. It
is one of my another strong area beside simulation and it is
fun !

Lighting and Texturing
​
Model and texture in maya. Rendered with global illumination in mental ray and using mental ray shaders.

Compositing
​
Sky replacement done using Nuke. 2D camera tracking
follow by rotoscoping to change the sky background. Grading of the foreground to match with the sky replacement.
​
Rigging
​
A rig made from scrath with IK and FK setup.
​
FX simulation ( Particles )​
​
The simulation was done using particles with sprites in houdini. I created 2 particles simulation, one for the tire spinning around it which has high velocity, lighter smoke and one for the ground that is darker tone assuming it is traveling on a flat surface.
